Lachlan Buchanan: Surf’s Up
Aussie teen heart-throb Lachlan Buchanan has the girls down under swooning as the buff young surfing star of The WB series Blue Water High. The boys in the USA are happy to see Buchanan’s tremendous talents in out gay filmmaker Dan Castle’s spectacular surfing drama, NEWCASTLE (coming to DVD August 25th from Wolfe).
This fresh, exciting coming-of-age drama has an amazing young cast that includes: Lachlan Buchanan as top competitive surfer Jesse; talented Aussie actor Reshad Strik as Jesse’s bad-boy brother Victor (Strik is also starring in the highly-anticipated new Fruit Chan horror flick, Don’t Look Up); and young Aussie star Xavier Samuel as Jesse’s gay brother Fergus, who falls for Jesse’s pal Andy (newcomer Kirk Jenkins). The drama plays out against the stunning backdrop of the Australian surfing scene and features spectacular cinematography.
