“It’s so hard to choose a favorite lgbt movie, but here goes… One of my favorite queer movies is SHORTBUS. I love the spirit of it, the process in which they made it; it’s pretty balls-out, literally and figuratively. One of my favorite performers, Justin Bond, is in it, and everyone else (guys and girls alike) are interesting, and real, and sexy as hell. I also really dig its connective tissue, the animated flyover of Brooklyn and Manhattan, and the sweet, introspective soundtrack. Okay, it gets a little silly at times – the egg vibrator comes to mind – but overall I just loved that the filmmaker had something to say.”
