A Jihad for Love (Opens May 21st in NYC)

Making worldwide headlines, A Jihad for Love tells the stories of lesbian and gay Muslims from around the world. Produced by Sandi DuBowski (whose Trembling Before G-d told the stories of Orthodox gay and lesbian Jews) and directed by Parvez Sharma, the film includes interviews with Imam Muhsin Hendricks (the world’s first openly gay Imam) and Mazen, one of the men imprisoned and tortured in the Cairo 52 case in Egypt.
