Mink Stole

“The only absolutely, deliberately gay movies I ever see are the ones I’m in, so I have to go with BUT I’M A CHEERLEADER (mother of a lesbian), GIRL PLAY (mother of a lesbian), and EATING OUT 2 (mother of a gay son). If fantasies count, though, the one I’d truly love to see is a Disney/Pixar version of the stories of David Sedaris — sort of like Altman’s SHORT CUTS only in 3D animation.”

Discover Mink Stole in the latest installment of the Eating Out series, EATING OUT 3: ALL YOU CAN EAT now available on DVD at WolfeVideo.com!

You can also find Mink Stole in dozens of the legendary classic films of John Waters including PINK FLAMINGOS!

Ron Cowen & Daniel Lipman (QUEER AS FOLK)

RON: “My favorite is THE CHILDREN’S HOUR. The screenplay by Lillian Hellmann is a chilling and heartbreaking study of the destructive effects of viciousness and lies, as well as a courageous indictment of the McCarthy Era. Still rather pertinent. The performances by Audrey Hepburn and Shirley MacLaine are exquisite. The direction by William Wyler (my favorite director, by the way) is matchless. How typical, and ridiculous, that certain PC people would dismiss it. Their loss.”

DAN: “My favorite Gay film has got to be the original French version of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES. Outrageous. Uproarious. And, ultimately, a very moving love story about tolerance and acceptance. With an absolutely sublime, masterful (mistressful?) performance by Michel Serrault. I was especially glad that there were subtitles during the scene where Ugo Tognazzi tries to teach Serrault’s “Albin/Zaza” how to be butch. I don’t believe I’ve ever heard such screams of laughter in a theatre. It would have drowned out dialogue in any language.”

Silas Howard (BY HOOK OR BY CROOK)

Silas Howard

“My favorite LGBT film is Lizzie Borden’s BORN IN FLAMES. Super queer in its humorous radical take over of the state-run media estate and an awesome girl bike gang! We need a movie like that again. a fantasy of rebellion where a diverse coalition of women emerges to blow the System apart. The fantastic Isabel (Adele Berti) as a speak-truth-to-power performer for the metropolis’s futuristic radio station. Oh yeah!”

See the trailer for Silas’s classic butch/trans buddy movie, BY HOOK OR BY CROOK and buy the DVD today. You can also see him in the awesome lesbian short, DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS (on the SHE LIKES GIRLS 4 lesbian shorts collection).
