Jill Bennett (actress, WE HAVE TO STOP NOW)

Jill Bennett

“My favorite comedic lesbian film was KISSING JESSICA STEIN. Not only was the acting fantastic, the central theme re-enforced that our sexual orientation can’t be changed — even when we may want it to! The scene between Jessica and her mother was particularly touching. The dialogue was strangely accurate given that it was written by the two stars — both of whom are straight.

My favorite dramatic lesbian film was BOUND. The first moment between Violet and Corky in the elevator gets me every time. Fantastic chemistry, good dialogue, good action. And Jennifer Tilly in tight low cut dresses. What else do you need?”

Bai Ling and Steph Song

Top Asian actress Bai Ling (who also appeared in the Spike Lee lesbo-phobic classic, SHE HATE ME back in 2004) hits the screen this month in the new American indie, DIM SUM FUNERAL as the girlfriend of a Hong Kong action movie star played by the equally hot Steph Song. The lesbian subplot looks like a good one as the pair are wanting to have a baby and choose a monk from Song’s mother’s funeral to be their sperm donor! The film opens June 12th in Los Angeles. Tanner Cohen: Sexy Daydream

Tanner Cohen

An oldie but a goodie love-letter to WERE THE WORLD MINE star Tanner Cohen from Seth Plattner at Out.com:

“We were as giddy as fairies when we read Shana’s write up and Popnography blog post about Tom Gustafson‘s delightful new gay movie musical, Were the World Mine. Centering around a bullied gay high school teen who, in rehearsals for his all-boy school’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, concocts a magic potion that he uses to turn not only his unrequited love but the whole town gay, it’s a fantasy straight from our in-the-closet teenage years that we were happy to get lost in. And the story wasn’t the only thing that made us swoon — lead Tanner Cohen, who plays the outcasted Timothy, is a tall drink of what we can only assume is delicious water.

Having finally seen the movie, we immediately fell in love with Tanner’s big beautiful eyes, his voice and, most importantly, his wardrobe! Beyond the scenes of sexy daydreams that have boys covered in glitter and wearing lamé shorts, the way he punks up his school uniform with pale skinny jeans, dirty Converse sneakers and a disheveled cardigan under his blazer is the queer take on the Gossip Girl look we keep waiting to see on the CW. And when he’s not at school, we’ve hardly seen any young hottie who can rock a hooded sweatshirt and an I ♥ NY shirt — all while shaking his thang to Mika no less — like Cohen.”
